Important principles
- AI assists educators.
- AI does not replace educators.
- AI does not make disciplinary decisions.
- AI does not assign grades.
- AI does not determine special education eligibility.
- AI does not determine student placement.
- AI does not make high-stakes educational decisions.
How InsightIQ works
- Evidence-based recommendations. InsightIQ summarizes teacher-authored notes, behavior logs, and recognitions — not inferences about students.
- Transparent reasoning. Every insight links back to the specific records that informed it.
- Explainable insights. Insights are written in plain language an educator can verify against the source records.
- Human review required. AI output is presented as a draft for educator review — never used to take automated action.
Student data and AI
- Student names are redacted before transmission to the AI provider and replaced with stable placeholders. The model provider never sees real student names.
- The model provider does not train on customer prompts or outputs under our gateway's enterprise terms.
- Students do not interact with AI directly. StorylineIQ is used by educators, not students.
Educator responsibility
Educators remain responsible for professional judgment and decision-making. StorylineIQ provides informational insights and recommendations. Schools and districts make decisions.
